- Tile bedding mortar
Why white sand — and why ours.
Washed to remove silt and clay, then screened to a tight fine grade — our white sand is what masons reach for when the finish shows. It gives a workable, cohesive mortar that spreads clean off the trowel and cures without shrinkage cracks.
- Washed & screened — low silt content
- Uniform fine grain for smooth plaster
- Delivered by the cubic yard from our Georgetown yard
- Consistent colour batch to batch
- Ready to mix — no on-site sieving required
Clean, screened, ready to mix.

- 01Chapter 01
Washed at source.
Silt, clay and organics rinsed out before screening so mortar bonds cleanly to blockwork.
- 02Chapter 02
Tight fine grade.
Screened to a narrow particle range for a smooth, workable plaster that finishes flat.
- 03Chapter 03
Low shrinkage.
Well-graded fines reduce shrinkage cracking as mortar and render cure.
- 04Chapter 04
Yard-stored dry.
Kept covered to control moisture so batch water can be dosed accurately.

How to install white sand right.
A short field guide from our yard team. Always follow your engineer's drawings for reinforcement and structural details.
- 1
Store on a clean, well-drained surface — never on bare earth or beside oil.
- 2
Cover during heavy rain to keep moisture content predictable for mix design.
- 3
Batch by bucket or shovel consistently — the same measure every mix.
- 4
For plaster, dampen the wall before applying so the substrate doesn't pull water from the mix.
- 5
Cure fresh plaster with a light mist for 2–3 days in hot, dry weather.
White Sand quality standards.
- Graded within the fine-aggregate envelope of ASTM C144 (masonry mortar)
- Washed to control silt, clay and organic content
- Sampled for fineness modulus and cleanliness on delivery
What builders order alongside white sand.
A single yard, a single delivery. Here's what typically ships with this product — and why.

The go-to fine aggregate for the mortar between our load-bearing 6-inch blocks.

Same story for 4-inch partition walls — clean plaster starts with clean sand.

Need fill under the slab first? Red sand handles the sub-base; white sand does the finish.
